Brighton Center

  • Our Brighton Center has been open since 2001 and provides care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
  • Our hours are from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Our Brighton Program is fully licensed as Day Care Centers by the Illinois Dept. of Children and Family Services and hold a Silver Circle of Quality in the Illinois ExceleRate program.

We also pride ourselves that all of our center classrooms are equipped with live viewing cameras to help parents feel secure to be able to log in at any time.

The Brighton Center provides:

Center Director

Mindy Cox
Mindy is the Center Director of Brighton Step By Step. Mindy started in 2018 and has worked in various classrooms including our Preschool and Twos Classrooms. She then became our Site Coordinator at our school-age program. We are excited for her promotion to Center Director! Mindy has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Practice. Mindy's favorite thing about the program is the family-like atmosphere.

Administrative Assistant

Jenna Davis
Jenna is the Administrative Assistant at Brighton Step By Step. Jenna returned to Step By Step in August of 2023 as the site coordinator for Brighton Latchkey, but also previously worked for Step by Step back in 2017-2019. Jenna’s children also attended both the center and Brighton Latchkey. Jenna is currently going back to school to become Assistant Director.
